I’d like to welcome you to my website where you can take your time in getting to know if I am the right therapist for you in the journey to feeling better.
I know you can feel freer, calmer and more connected to your inner world. Within us all is the capacity to feel at home in our bodies by healing what happened to us.
I am here to support you and help grow the essence you have inside.
You are in safe hands, and I warmly welcome you to join me in helping you on the path of exploration.
Through my years of working one to one with adults and young people, a pattern kept reoccurring. To story of ‘what happened’ is either; consciously remembered, held within the psyche or body, or stored somewhere in the unconscious. One way or another the burdens of our past echo out to us. Our nervous system holds it all, storing the stories that are left unprocessed. Our nervous system is designed to help us out of short term threat, not sustain long amounts of stress and perceived danged. Our sessions are about regulating your nervous system back to the calm and confident state you belong in.
Putting you at the centre of sessions, we gently unpack your story at your own pace, hearing from the parts of you that live along side you. This means exploring what meaning you made of the experiences you have lived through and what that meant for how you perceived the world. We use the tools of Internal Family Systems to support you from the inside out. Therapy sessions are about you. Gently unpacking your lived experience at your own pace, exploring the meaning made of your experiences and what that meant for how you perceived the world. Sessions are held in calm with an open heart to understanding you without condition.
Sessions are about understanding and healing from stresses your nervous system had to navigate with the blueprint of your childhood. We curiously explore how your lived experience paved the way for how you protected yourself from the outside world, how you relate to yourself and others in the world around you. I have a key interest in working with the body and communicating with pain, discomfort, tension and somatic experiences.
IFS is my preferred way of working with individuals as it truly unburdens us from the internal cycles and patterns of the mind.
I qualified as an IFS therapist in 2024. You will find client testimonials around the website to offer hope on your journey.
Working with Anna has been such a healing and warm experience. Her compassion and unconditional regard for me has allowed me to soften and really begin to treat myself with the love and respect that I didn’t have in my early life.
Her use of IFS and parts work has been instrumental in this process, enabling me to view my critical and shame parts with compassion and curiosity, and with Anna’s skill and patience using the model, it has provided the platform for me to fly and have a fulfilling life.
I’m forever grateful that I chose Anna to be with me on this journey.
Since working with Anna and the IFS model friends and family have mentioned how much more confident and relaxed I am. I began therapy with a short fuse and annoyed about all sorts of things. Now that is way less and I don't feel like I have to 'manage' my anger anymore.
Sessions with Anna have saved me from what felt like insanity. Before sessions I thought I had borderline personality disorder and now I know these are parts of me trying to protect in some way. I could have received a medical diagnosis and just been medically sedated for the rest of my life. Anna helped my heart's natural compassion. I know there is nothing 'wrong' with me. I just grew up in a dangerous home environment and I learnt protective behaviours which manifested into my adult life. She has helped me heal myself from the inside out. I never thought that was possible.
I am 100% more calmer, grounded and present then I was before having sessions with Anna. She has taught me to enjoy the present moment! Which is amazing as I used to be rushing around, stressed at work, drinking 10 coffees a day to just get to the end of the day.
Anna is full of information, knowledge, awareness and is authentic with her treatment and work as a therapist. I value her gentleness and also her capacity to be frank when asked questions directly. Through Anna I learnt about how I am a system of parts, which helped me appreciate those around me. If I was that, so were others, which meant I could have parts of me relate to other people's parts.
In my first session with Anna she said "If it's mentionable, it's manageable" - she wasn't wrong and I have remembered this every day of my life. There is nothing I can't tackle on my own now in the right safe spaces. Anna is so helpful in instilling confidence and I know she's always there.
A very skilled and well researched psychotherapist. Just a few sessions focused on my anxiety and fear gave me exactly what I needed to tackle an issue at home.
Before therapy, I was a train wreck—both physically and emotionally—at the lowest point of my life. I didn’t have the spark to open up when I’d had a terrible day, when feelings were bottled up, or when past grief resurfaced. Instead, I turned to alcohol.
Now, as I write this, I’m 2 years and 6 months sober—an accomplishment I can say with absolute certainty would not have been possible without my weekly sessions with Anna. Through therapy, I’ve learned to talk, to communicate, and to make time for myself. Using IFS, I’ve found a way to process my ever-active mind and break down challenges in a healthy, constructive way.
IFS has quite literally changed my life—and that’s no exaggeration. I’ll admit, I was sceptical at first. But when Anna shared articles, readings, and took the time to explain IFS to me, something clicked. It unlocked a deeper understanding of myself and how I’m made up as a person, leaving a lasting impact on my life.
To this day, every night before bed, I switch off the TV, put away the gadgets, and spend about ten minutes investing in myself—checking in with my parts, processing, and reflecting. Whether I’ve had a terrible day, a wonderful one, or just an ordinary day, this practice has become an essential part of my routine. For this, I cannot thank Anna enough. She has helped me build a permanent and meaningful habit that I now consider crucial to my wellbeing.
The best way I can describe sessions with Anna is that I came in carrying so much—grief, confusion, frustration, and more. Anna listened with patience and created a safe space that allowed me to discover a side of myself I didn’t know existed: the ability to truly communicate how I felt.
Even as someone who tends to push things down and keep them to myself, Anna’s supportive and comfortable approach drew out thoughts and feelings that even my closest friends, family, and my wife hadn’t been able to. That level of trust was essential to our sessions, and it never wavered—not then, and not even now.
I came to Anna during a very difficult time in my life, with a clear idea of the kind of therapist I was hoping to work with. From my very first email and phone call with her, I felt an immediate sense of calm and non-judgment in her voice. I knew right away that she was the right person to move forward with.
Her relaxed demeanour and clear, thoughtful communication were exactly what I needed in a therapist. Each session felt open, comfortable, and safe, allowing me to be fully myself. Within just two or three sessions, it felt as though I had known Anna for years.
